Plus de trente autres personnes ont été blessées dans la double explosion.
Les attentats ont eu lieu dans un marché situé non loin d'une gare routière à Biu, à environ 200 kilomètres au Sud de Maiduguri, la capitale de l'Etat de Borno.
Les attaques n'ont pas encore été revendiquées mais le mode opératoire est celui du groupe Boko Haram. La ville a souvent été la cible des attentats du groupe islamiste.
Selon les responsables de l'Etat de Borno, vu l'état dans lequel se trouvent certains blessés, le bilan pourrait s'alourdir.
