En Mauritanie, la mine d’or de Tasiast, à 250 km au nord deNouakchott, a annoncé la suspension de ses activités depuis le 18 juin 2016.
Une décision prise après l’interdiction de travailler imposée la veille par le gouvernement mauritanien aux expatriés n’ayant pas de« permis de travail valide ».
La société canadienne Kinross, qui exploite la mine de Tasiast, mène en ce moment une double négociation, après une grève des employés fin mai - début juin 2016 pour des revendications salariales.
