Le bus qui avait plongé dans le fleuve début juillet lors d’une rotation d’un des bacs reliant Rosso-Sénégal à Rosso-Mauritanie a été retiré des eaux. Les sapeurs pompiers deSaint Louis, la gendarmerie, la police et la douane ont procédé au renflouement du véhicule. 

De gros moyens ont été déployés: deux pelles à chenille, deux tracteurs de 420 chevaux, un Caterpillar et une grue, renseigne Walfadjri. L’opération a duré plusieurs heures.

Le corps d’une fillette a été découvert sur les lieux. Le cadavre en question était en état de décomposition avancé. Elle a été aussitôt enterrée dans le cimetière de la ville.
