L'ambassadeur français  accrédité en Mauritanie SEM. Joël Meyer, s’est entretenu jeudi, 5 avril courant, à son bureau à Nouakchott, avec le leader de l’IRA Biram Dah Abeid.

Une note d’information publiée par l’organisation de  l’Initiative pour la Résurgence Abolitionniste a inscrit le tête-à-tête dans le cadre des échanges sur les questions de défense des droits de l’homme, en plus de la situation politique

Le président de l’IRA avait annoncé précédemment son intention de briguer la magistrature suprême mauritanienne à la prochaine présidentielle prévue en 2019.
