A quelques semaines de l’expiration du mandat de François Hollande, le président mauritanien a effectué une visite en France. L’occasion pour Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz d’accorder une interview à RFI, y évoquant le Maroc au passage.
L’homme fort à Nouakchott depuis le coup d’Etat d’août 2008 a reconnu que son pays «n’a pas d’ambassadeur [à Rabat] mais nous avons un chargé d’affaires. Nous avons une ambassade ouverte. Les relations sont relativement bonnes», a-t-il affirmé.
Et d’assurer qu’il n’y a pas de «grain de sable» qui bloque l’entente entre les deux pays voisins. Le président a également avancé que la Mauritanie entretient «les mêmes relations avec tous les pays. Mais nous souffrons effectivement de ces problèmes du Maghreb qui n’arrivent pas à avancer. C’est tout.»
