Le président de la République islamique de Mauritanie s’est exprimé également sur les intentions, qui lui sont prêtées, de postuler à un troisième mandat, alors que la Constitution les limite à deux seulement.
"Je m’en tiens à la Constitution, qui limite à deux le nombre de mandats consécutifs. J’ai fait ce que j’ai pu pendant toute cette période et puis c’est tout. J’estime qu’il y a encore beaucoup de choses à faire mais qu’il y a beaucoup de gens capables de le faire", a-t-il conclu.
