Près d'une semaine après sa fuite, Cheikh Fara Yola, le cerveau de la bande du vol à l'arrachée subi par des cambistes devant Orabank a été repéré en Mauritanie, informe Le Témoin. Le sieur en question a été localisé grâce à un appel téléphonique à un de ses proches amis à partir d'un numéro portant l'indicatif de la "Rim" pour lui expliquer son projet. Se rendre en Espagne via la méditerranée ou les embarcations de fortune.
Le fugitif fait partie de la bande qui a arraché la sacoche des cambistes contenant une somme de 160 millions FCFA en euros. Cheikh Fara avait alors avant sa fugue, confié trois millions francs CFA à sa mère domiciliée à Niary Tally que les policiers ont retrouvé au cours d'une perquisition.
