C’est sur la base des résultats de son enquête réalisée sur la situation nutritionnelle au niveau de certaines zones vulnérables relevant de la commune rurale de Timzine(moughataa de Kobenni) que l’Organisation pour le Développement des Zones Arides et Semi Arides en Mauritanie(ODZASAM), a procédé à la distribution d’aliments nutritifs au profit des enfants souffrant de malnutrition sévère.
D’importantes quantités de biscuits enrichis «BPS » ont été distribuées par l’équipe de l’ONG dans les localités de Termesse et Treydatt ciblées spécifiquement par cette intervention ponctuelle à cause de la prépondérance du taux de malnutrition enregistré chez les enfants dépistés.
Cette opération ponctuelle mais efficiente intervient dans un conjoncture particulière, la période de soudure, qui précède généralement les récoltes. Elle s’est déroulée en parfaite collaboration avec les autorités administratives et communales concernées.
