L'armée nigériane a bombardé accidentellement un camp pour personnes déplacées dans le nord-est du pays, tuant plusieurs civils. Selon l'agence d'aide internationale, MSF, cinquante-deux personnes sont mortes et plus de cent-vingt ont été blessées lors des raids aériens.
Aux dires de la porte-parole de la Croix-Rouge, Aleksandar Matijevic, six de leurs travailleurs ont trouvé la mort dans le bombardement.
Elle a précisé que 13 autres volontaires de la Croix-Rouge nigériane ont été également blessés. Ils étaient en mission à Rann hier matin, pour distribuer de la nourriture à plus de 25 000 personnes déplacées.
Malgré cet incident, l'organisation non gouvernementale reste toutefois engagée à apporter l'aide humanitaire aux populations du nord-est du Nigéria touchées par les attaques répétées de boko haram.
