Le Procureur a requis à l'ouverture du procès du prévenu lundi à Rosso une peine d'emprisonnement ferme de 5 ans contre le président de l'Ira, Biram Ould Dah Ould Abeidi et une amende de 540 milles ouguiyas. Le parquet a également demandé la saisie de tous les biens de l'organisation qualifiée de non reconnue Ira. Le président de l'Ira en détention depuis plusieurs jours en même temps que 9 autres militants de son association est poursuivi pour "regroupement portant trouble à l'ordre public", "l'incitation à la désobeissance et à la mise en place d'une organisation non autorisée". Le président de l'Ira, rappelle-t-on, avait été arrêté à la suite de sa participation à une caravane dite contre la spoliation des terres dans le Trarza.
