En Mauritanie, des professionnels de la presse estiment à un peu plus de trois millions de FCFA la perte mensuelle due à la non parution des journaux. Depuis plus d'un mois, les kiosques du pays sont vides, officiellement c'est la pénurie de papier à l'imprimerie nationale qui est à l'origine de cette situation. 

Certains journalistes commencent à douter de la bonne foi des autorités qui avaient promis de résoudre le problème pendant la première semaine du mois de janvier.

En attendant les conséquences sont ''énormes'' selon Mamadou Sy, président du comité de suivi de la presse mauritanienne.
