En Mauritanie, le sénateur Mohamed Ould Ghaddea été arrêté vendredi à Nouakchott, la capitale.
Il a mené la fronde contre la suppression du Sénat dont le principe a été adopté par référendum le 5 août. "Le sénateur a été arrêté à son domicile aux premières heures de la matinée par deux policiers en civil", a affirmé une source policière.
Son interpellation a été confirmée par des membres de sa famille, qui ont précisé que jeudi M. Ould Ghadde avait été empêché de traverser la frontière avec le Sénégal voisin, où il souhaitait se rendre pour raisons médicales.
