Le jihadiste Mokhtar Belmokthar est probablement mort, selon un responsable américain. Il a été visé par une frappe aérienne française en Libye.
Le jihadiste d'origine algérienne Mokhtar Belmokhtar, rallié à Al-Qaïda au Maghreb islamique (AQMI), a été visé récemment par une frappe aérienne française en Libye, et est probablement mort, a indiqué ce lundi un responsable américain.
Mokhtar Belmokhtar, chef du groupe Al-Mourabitoune qui a mené de nombreuses attaques sanglantes dans la région du Sahel, a déjà été donné pour mort à plusieurs reprises, notamment en juin 2015 lors d'une frappe américaine en Libye. Le responsable américain confirmait des informations parues dans le Wall Street Journal.
