La Mauritanienne Lalla Mohammed Ahmed, qui devait quitter le Canada, peut pousser un soupir de soulagement.
L'Agence des services frontaliers du Canada vient de suspendre son renvoi, a fait savoir son avocate Myriam Roy-L'Écuyer.
Cette décision a été prise à la suite d'une intervention de la dernière heure du Comité des droits de l'Homme de l'ONU, qui a prié le gouvernement canadien de ne pas renvoyer la jeune femme et son enfant, âgé de moins de 3 ans, vers son pays natal, où elle risque des représailles potentielles.
