Les autorités sud-africaines ont annoncé la libération de leur citoyen Stephen McGown, enlevé en 2011 au Mali par Al-Qaïda.
Il a été libéré fin juillet et se trouve actuellement en Afrique du Sud. Agé de 42 ans, Stephen Mc Gown avait été enlevé à Tombouctou en 2011 en même temps que trois autres personnes.
Les circonstances de sa libération n'ont pas été révélées.
